MEGAN WRIGG, PT, DPT, FAAOMPT, DIP OSTEOPRACTIC, CERT SMT, CERT DN, CSCS, DANCE MEDICINE SPECIALIST

Dr. Megan Wrigg received her Bachelors of Science in biology from  Carroll College in 2008, and completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Montana in 2011. While working towards her doctorate degree she completed an intense clinical residency with Athletico, a top level sports and dance rehabilitative institution in Chicago, IL providing care and treatment to the Joffrey Ballet, Hubbard Street and River North Dance companies. Megan has a passion for treating and managing injured dancers, gymnasts, and athlete's of all ages. Clinically she enjoys working with musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions.  

 

Since obtaining her license, Megan has worked tirelessly in the outpatient orthopaedic setting to specialize in orthopaedic manual therapy and the treatment of the neuromuscular dysfunction. Megan is an expert in Dry Needling (DN) and Spinal Manipulation Therapy (SMT). She has earned her certifications in Spinal Manipulative Therapy (Cert SMT) and Dry Needling (Cert DN)  through the Spinal Manipulation Institute and Dry Needling Institute respectively, under the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy (AAMT). Dr. Megan most recently completed her fellowship training in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy through AAMT under the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT) earning the prestigious FAAOMPT credential. This is the highest level credential a physical therapist can earn in the field. 

 

Over her years in clinical practice, Megan has placed a strong emphasis on post-graduate continuing education. In addition to the clinical education discussed above, Megan also has training and countless hours of course work through other highly reputable institutions including but not limited to The North American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT), The McKenzie Method, The Mulligan Concept, and Neurodynamics. and the International association for Dance Medicine and Science. She enjoys challenging and expanding her knowledge base and is always looking for a new learning opportunity.
